These service offerings are individually tailored to help clients (teachers) facilitate their students' thinking skills by integrating engagement in explanatory modeling activities with information resources and instructional methods. Pricing depends on the amount of planning done by the consultant, and the consulting packages we offer differ in this respect. In addition, GLN Consulting offers a free assessment to potential clients of what we can do for their particular course, lab, etc. Explanatory modeling activities can be used in a variety of ways to enhance students' thinking skills. For example, they might be used as part of a lab that accompanies a course or as out of class assignments for a non laboratory course. Potential clients can obtain the free assessment by providing GLN Consulting (by e-mail) with a description of the procedures now being used for those purposes. GLN Consulting will take the description provided by the client and provide an assessment of how we can help enhance students' thinking skills by supplementing these procedures with student engagement in explanatory modeling activities.
